What's Happening to the Brain During Sound Healing?

Effects of the Brain During Sound Healing

During sound healing, the brain is affected by the vibrations and frequencies of the sounds being produced. The auditory cortex, which is responsible for processing sound, is stimulated and can lead to a relaxation response in the brain. Additionally, the vibrations from the sounds can reverberate throughout the brain and body, producing a meditative state and promoting deep relaxation. Research has shown that sound healing can also decrease stress and anxiety levels, and can even promote the release of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals in the brain. However, more research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms behind these effects.
